Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Plume macOS application and this website, provided by Amo Per La Vita LLC ("we," "us"). By downloading or using Plume, you agree to them.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Plume on Macs you own or control, for personal or business use. You may not resell, redistribute, rent, or sublicense the app, or misrepresent it as your own work.

Your AI provider account

• Plume works with an API key you obtain from an AI provider of your choice — Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. Your relationship with that provider is your own: you are responsible for your account, your API usage costs, and complying with your provider's terms of service.
• Plume sends your transcribed text to your chosen provider to clean it up. The quality, availability, and pricing of those services belong to the provider, not to us.

Use Plume responsibly

• Plume types polished text wherever your cursor is. You are responsible for reviewing what you send, post, or submit — especially anywhere consequential.
• Don't use Plume to break the law, to violate others' rights, or to circumvent the acceptable-use policies of your AI provider.

No warranty

Plume is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes; we don't warrant that output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amo Per La Vita LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost data, or messages sent in error — arising from your use of Plume. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for Plume in the twelve months before the claim (currently: zero, as Plume is free).

Updates and changes

Plume may install updates automatically to keep itself current and secure. We may modify or discontinue the app or these terms at any time; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
